That's exactly what I want to do with mine. Can you please tell me how you wired them up? Did you have to tap into a specific wire? I want mine to come on exactly when yours does.

There is a trigger wire somewhere in the loom in the door sills but I don't have the patience to sift through them. I just ran mine up to the headliner and just spliced into the dome light from there. Really simple.
I don't have any pics

In my picture with the switches. The left one controls my green LEDs and the right one controls my truck bed LEDs. One get power source from the 12v outlet in the middle of the 2 switches. And the other gets power off another 12v outlet. I cut the LEDs to size and then connected them at their solder points. So it's a total of 32 feet of LEDs connected in a loop around the truck. Then from the dash I ran the ground and power under the carpet and under the door kick panel into the led strip. I did this for the driver and passenger side which could be unnecessary but just to make sure they get full power all around.

all I did with mine was wire the positive on each strip to any parking lights feed then grounded them and so they come on when I put the parking/any other lights on

I put them under the rails in my bed. I ran the power into the cab and connected it to the dome light power. The line runs in the door jam on the passenger side. Whenever I unlock my doors or open the door the lights come on. The best part is I can use my key chain unlock button to turn them on. and because the doom light fades on, these do too! The fade on/off looks awesome.

It's raining tonight but I'll try to take a picture/video tomorrow.

Edit:
I was able to find a old video I took while I was installing them!

That is so bad azz! That's exactly what I'm going to try to do with mine. Whenever you ran the wire through the door jam on the passenger side, how did you get it to the dome light? Do you have a wire that you can see on the headliner?
