Without the proper load resistor LED bulbs in the rear taillight housings, you will loose your cruise control. It's not just the third brake light...

Is a 1 led bulb which is 5 lum sufficient or should I go to something bigger? when I swap out my lights?

Does the resistor have to be perfectly matched or can it be any resistor that makes the bulb flash at a normal rate?

I carry a rechargable lithium power pack / jump box with me just in case. It has been usefull for helping others and jumping my work vehicle and it is a nice piece of mind knowing I have backup power.
