LED front turn signal (replace factory 3157)
Hello all,
I bought a pair of Pilot 3157 Amber LED bulbs to replace the front park/turn factory bulbs on my 2004 F150. I installed one load resistor on each side to prevent hyper flash. The lights work fine and flash at a normal speed if the switch is on at the parking lights mode. If I turn off the parking lights and turn on either left or right turn signal, the hazard flasher takes over and both my turn signals come on at the same time as well as all my instrument cluster backlights, as if I had turned on the hazards. However, if I turn on the parking lights the left and right turn signal again flash normal. I replaced the LEDS with the factory bulbs and everything is back to normal. Anybody know what is going on? Thanks, Z |
The parking lamp is backfeeding, happened with mine also!

try installing a new flasher relay that works with LED's. Worked for me. You may or may not have to still use the resistors (you shouldn't but keep them handy). I think theyre $15 or so

Ep 27 flasher for LEDs. Napa has them.

What did you mean by backfeeding?

The lights are connecting the parking lamp with the brakes and turn signals through the bulb wiring. It won't hurt anything, it's just annoying.
