Default Anyone know anything about this Grille Guard??

http://www.americantrucks.com/front-...ck-grille.html Found this one for $349 shipped to the door, they say its 1.25" stainless steel powdercoated blk....If anyone knows anything about this guard neg or pos please let me know....I'm in the market for one, looking for a good close to the front end fit...thanks

that tubing is thin...less than 1/16"

It is.... but its stainless steel which should help with the rust issues, I'm actually going for the look more than protection.....Not many of these light built grill guards such as westin and aries in this same type are going to offer that much protection from a deer or such......just my opinion

oh i never bought a brush guard for looks, they are ugly IMO form over function

go check out the ranchhand grille guards, they will protect your grill from just about anything and look good on a truck in my opinion. http://www.ranchhand.com/

Your right Tide thats a nice looking guard and should protect as well, I just want a little smoother look, I'm not much of a fan of that lower bar (on the 04-08 model) below the headlights..but as you said that should protect

If you go on that website and look on the left, click on the front replacements and the summit series ones look the best to me. But im sure they are pretty pricey but they offer protection and look so good in my opinion.

Ive got an aries on mine and it does the job for smaller things but its deffinitly not something that could stand an animal or something.

Yep, thats a nice looking setup but as you said pricey..like the lights in the bumper
