Default Keyless Entry Drivers Door Pad

Hello fellow F150 friends. I purchased our first F150 other than the ones I grew up around. My wife owns a 2000 expedition, with keyless pad.

Well back to my problem. There is supposed to be a card with my keyless numbers in the glovebox, it's not... According to the owners manual, it should be on the computer module under the hood, there is a few numbers there but a few are worn off.

I called my local Ford dealer and they want $65 and a 40 mile one-way trip to "track-down" the whole keyless thing, is what he told me. The owners manual says I can do my own code if I have the original code.....

Anyone have a clue how to bypass any of this and put in my own code without spending the $65 and the trip down and back? Thank you everyone for some advice. Loving my F150😎

The code is located behind the back seat. You need the original code to make your own personal code. Check out this video.

Fyi, the original code will still exist even if you add a personal code.

I had the same problem 13 years ago with thw dealer. I was there and they told me $40 so I declined. A couple of years later i went to another dealer nearby and they told me for free. Even showed me where to find the code.

I wonder if the OP ever saw this or if they paid $65 to have the dealer get it?

Don't know. I just watched the YT video and that's probably one of the best quality how-to videos on all of the tubes of you.

It is very good. I'm just glad I didn't have to do this with mine. I've heard its a royal PITA for most people. Some have really good luck and can nail the release point down inside the seat perfectly on the first try.

My first truck, I tried and tried and tried and finally gave up...

My second one I went at it and got it first try. Once you understand how it works its easy. Dont know what my issue was on my first truck.

Also found an amp totally mounted and ready to go back there!
