When I bought the truck the key fob didn't work, I thought it was the battery so changed it out with no luck. Ended up going on ebay and buying a new one. This was about beginning of November I believe. The other day I came back from lunch and the truck locked up fine. When I went to leave work the remote would no longer work. I tried the activation process to see if it deactivated for some reason with no luck. I also put a new battery in the remote and tried the activation process again with no luck.

Few questions: Has anyone bought that has bought a remote off ebay had it stop working so quickly? Is there any other option I should be looking into as to what might be wrong?

Also any recommendations on aftermarket remotes/alarms? Remote start would be nice too. The cheaper the better but don't want to run into a situation like this where I buy it and 3 months down the road I'm buying a new one.
