KC Daylighters or SlimLites?
I'm trying to decide between the two. I know they're both considered to be driving lights, but is one more long range than the other? And just to make sure, both are legal when driving on the road/highway correct?
Does anyone have a preference towards one over the other, and why?

I have 2 daylighters and they give really good light really far but it is a narrow beam, i believe the slims are more fog light but not positive. Also most "foglights" can not be used on roadways unless certain conditions are met, most police agency can be emailed as to questions about there legality

I've got the daylighters and my roommate has the slimlites and they are both awesome. The guys at 4WheelParts told us that the slimlites are just a not as deep as the daylighters for mounting up on the grill verses on a light bar. They both seem to work the same as far as range and brightness. Neither of ours are street legal though.

its illegal to run any other lights other than marker lights and headlights on the front of your vehicle on the highway. technically even foglights if the weather does not require them but no one gets pulled over for that.

To be more precise you can not a driving light on the car except in off road conditions. If you are going to run fog lights on the road they must be placed lower on the vehicle than the head lights and must be properly aimed.

The last thing I'll be worried about are cops when driving through the back roads of deer country in heavy fog. I don't plan to use the lights on the highway. I got a set of the SlimLite fogs since my bumper doesn't have OEM fogs, and a set of the SlimLite driving lights for some added high beams on the back roads and occasional off-roading.
