I'm SO glad you did not get burned. If you want to buy used, I wholeheartedly recommend you talk to Franchi first - you won't have these issues.

Thanks! I'm happy too lol. I wasn't really looking but I "thought" I stumbled across a good deal with the information he originally gave me...turns out that wasn't true lol. The SCT X2 isn't what I really wanted but for $80, it would have done the job.... I think I'll keep my eyes open for the Edge Evo with the pod that I really want haha.
