Lightbulb Just got HID'S! No More Automatic Headlight Feature!?

So I just got around to installing my HIDS today and was wondering if there is work around to making it so the headlights can be used on the automatic setting. As of now if I leave them on auto and I go to unlock my car or start it only one headlight comes on. However if I manually turn them off and go to unlock my car they come on, but then once I start the car I have to turn them on... I was just curious to see if maybe this has happened to anyone else or I did something wrong. Thanks for your help.

Have a good one,
-Collin

Sometimes with my kit the driver side won't turn on or the passenger side will just shut off randomly and I need to reset them by turning off my truck, letting them shut off and turning them back on. In canada here we need day time running lights so they r always on
