Default Upholstery burns

I have 2004 F150. The interior color code is MW. I know M stands for Cloth 40/20/40 front seats with rear bench seat. Can anyone tell me what the W stands for? I want to purchase new OEM front seat upholstery (not seat covers) to repair the burns and the trim shops won't give the color codes. They want me to take my truck to their shops. They said they would match the cloth from their swatch books. I can purchase the material whole sale and make the repairs myself. Or purchase a new front seat upholstery.

Cool Interior trim color code translation

I have the same issue with a slight twist. I have a 2004 F-150 Lariat super cab new body style from Norfolk. The Norfolk plant must be a rogue or Fords secret test plant as this is not the first time my codes have not been listed in the translation posts. My Interior Trim code is EW.
Now I know the E is for Leather 60/40 but what does the W stand for.

In snooping around the web, I have found it called either "Medium Parchment" or "Medium Prairie Tan”. That said though I want to know from Ford what the darn W stands for as different companies call the same color by different brand names. I also know from experience that matching weathered interior colors is like trying to match a rainbow as colors fade and wear due to their specific weathering environment. Left seat, right seat, front glass, rear glass Etc... So can anyone give me a clue as to the mysterious W

Talking Interior trim color code W translation

I just got back from the local ford dealers parts department.

In short for 2004 the interiror trim color code W stands for "Medium Peble"

with an interior trim scheme of Tan. The scheme being different than the actual color.

I got a confirmation from this web site once I searched the name.

http://www.dieselmanor.com/dm_produc...ationchart.htm

This is Leather Peble tan from
http://www.rochfordsupply.com/color_...le+Tan&form=15

This is FD7658 Med Pebble from http://www.leathermagic.com/Pages/fordcolrchart.htm

So hopefully this puts the darn W to rest at least for the 2004 model year!

Default Interior Trim code differences

Just a note I wanted to add in that the codes seem to be year specific. My 2004 trim code W was only used for the 04/05 model years and then it swithed to code H for the 06/07 model years.
the schems seemed to change as well going from tan in 04/05 to pebble in 06 and Pebble/Parchment in 07. Which in hind sight is probably why they chaged the code from W to H.

So do not assume anything when it comes to interiors. They appear to be highly atatched to the fickle marketing department.
