Good info! I tell ya. I'm not so worried about the plugs for me....but if something was to ever be acknowledge by Ford, that would be nice.

Hey guys we've found at our dealership running an intake cleaner through the truck before spark plug removal helps to break up some of that carbon that builds on the lower part of the 2 piece design. Really seems to help. Napa sells a tool now too that kick the one Ford sent us in the dick

Typical answers from a large company. I plan to follow the results of the combined class action case against Ford on this topic. Anyone that has already paid a high price for their plugs to be changed should as well. Should the case be settled in favor of the folks sueing, you may be eligable for some sort of compensation.

I did my plugs when my truck only had 32,000 miles on it, this was back in 09. I broke the front two ones off, one on each side. If i wouldn't of broke them I would of been done in two hours. I feel/think if you follow the steps to take them out, its not that big of deal like it was 3 or 4 years ago. I also think that a lot of the shops/dealerships are ripping people off. Ford does need a foot put up their butts for this design, but i wouldn't let it keep me from buying another ford f-150.

agreed. now people have to be careful. them shady shops out there could be using this to their advantage screwing people out of thousands of $$$$. they could just say 3 plugs broke and now they have to extract them. but i agree, i think FORD should try to do something about this but this wont keep me from buying a FORD product!
