I can only answer one of the questions. As to buying a jeep here's how I feel. You can't run fast enough to leave a jeep in my driveway.

How about you give me an $1800 interest free loan for a year so I can do some of the above to my truck.

LOL tax returns.

Put 1/2 of it in the saving account for a rainy day, use the rest to buy chains/guides/phasers/vct or tires....

I would definitely fix the manifold leak, the 1-2 second start up rattle and anything else that might come up between now and that time. then put your leftover cash, if any, towards some of your planned upgrades.

your tax return is sort of "free money" (bit of a joke here too) but is money that you didn't necessarily set aside so that's why I call it "free". your mods should come out of your regular stash since they are upgrades but anything maintenance related takes priority and I would use that money to get it knocked out. but hey, is your hard earned cash

Man I sure do wish I could get a tax refund, the last couple of years, I have broke even, I got a $2 refund last year. Good thing I do my own taxes. Good luck OP, remember, maintenance before mods.

That is the ideal situation.

Yea, but it was kinda a surprise when prior years I would usually get about 3-4000 back on my tax return and then 2 years ago, I went down to break even. I just wish I knew what happens to all that tax money I pay each month. I guess its better than owing the IRS.
