Idle Air Control Valve - Replace or Clean?
Can this thing be cleaned? I am trying to diagnose a somewhat low idle and I know that this has never been cleaned, so I wanted to try to replace or clean...
I saw a video that indicated that on the 2004-2008, the IAC had some weird bolt issues which made the replacement of the thing tricky, the bolts were taped or something that required that the throttle bottle be heated by a torch and an impact wrench, lest one tear the head off the bolt? Is this true?
And if the thing can't be replaced easily, can it be cleaned while still attached to the throttle body?
Thanks -
