I bought these OEM style flares a few months ago and I planned on ptm them....that is until my son said that he thinks they would look better if I left them black. Now I'm kinda swaying his way....my truck is solid blue, has just enough chrome (bumpers, side steps and door straps) and some black with the Smittybilt Predator, the mirrors, tonneau, and grille. I've seen quite a few trucks with the ptm flares and I love that look, but after having my son hold the black flare against my truck I like that look too. What do you think about the black? I don't have any pics of blue flares, but I'm sure you can picture what I'm talking about. Any and all opinions are welcome please!

I like that black, but I think it clashes when you have chrome, so unless you're gonna get rid of all the chrome, I would paint to match

I would PTM those. But you don't have to. With The smaller stock flares I don't think they stand out too much.

I think either will look fine, I think because your paint is so dark, the black might set it off just perfectly... that's my vote. I need to repaint mine black actually lol!

I vote to leave them black. It's a lot of work to sand them smooth, plus the black accents the blue nice imo..

Leave the stock flares black. PTM the bulky aftermarket ones!

Heck if anything I'd go with a black and blue look. Take all that chrome and either bed line it your self or get a company to do it. Then keep those flares black. That would look awesome!
