I love my job!!!
So for those of you that do work at a Ford Dealer, ya'll know how it is. But for the rest of ya'll...it's ****ing awsome! So far, in the last month, I have gotten two free aftermarket modifications done to my truck for free. Two weeks ago, a used 2007 Screw came in on trade for a U.V.I...(Used Vehicle Inspection), so they could resale it on the lot. It had aftermarket exhaust (straight pipe bolt on w/ resinator) that the sales manager wanted taken off. I traded him for my stock system and BAM!!! New exhaust. Today, same thing happened, but with a K&N CAI w/ a new filter on it..and...again...BAM!!! New mod! All for free! I love my job! Sorry to brag just wanted to let some excitment out!!!

Yea I got hired by Ford as a Salesman here in San Diego, I had a desk, got my sales license, business cards and then a week and a half later my background check went through and apparently I had a warrant out for my arrest for the past 4 years because my lawyer lied to me about something getting dropped off my record after I paid him 3 g's. My boss didn't even tell me I just got a letter and a phone call from Ford HR saying they had to respectfully decline my job offer. I had 4 sales already lined up and my boss said I could trade in my 05 XLT for a 07 Saleen F150 as long as I still worked there. Saddest day of my 24 year old life.

You have a smart sales manager. He knew he'd be in all kinds of trouble with the federal government, as it's illegal to remove/tamper with any federally mandated emmissions equipment. The fact that someone installed a straight pipe type exhaust (I'm assuming the cats were removed) on the truck meant he could not legally sell that truck. A hefty fine if he or your dealer got caught.
When you go to sell yours, same rules apply.

BUCKO...your totally correct. Thats the main reason. And no, all four cats are still on the vehicle, but from the cat back has been replaced.
And for crashTECH...The pay is really good. I started nearly 2 years ago at $14/FH, and since then, my pay has been increased by $10. Only because I've been online all the time taking web based training and then classroom tests in San Antonio for certifations. I've busted my @$$ to get where i'm at, and i'm damn proud of it!
Boilerup15...I'm waiting on one myself...theyre hard to find. Especially for free.
