Default I just noticed I am missing my firewall ground.

What type of issues could this cause? I need to buy a ground. Can someone measure theirs? I need the length. My truck is at my shop which is 45 minutes away from my house

Default Make sure you use a web ground

Makes a big difference . There is a problem that webs solve and that it shunts away high frequencies that can confuse computers . We had a hell of a time at my utility until we solved it this way . There is so much junk in the airways its becoming a larger danger . Can you say drive by wire and throttle jamming full on for one . Yes our fords are drive by wire, no throttle cable, just one of the circuits that could get jammed .

I wonder if it could create a weak spark and a no start condition

Default With corrosion on mounting bolts and in other joints anything is possible

salt and water/heat can be a real electrical nightmare . Best to redo everything and hope for the best, extra grds don't hurt a thing .

Go to a stereo shop and buy some 8ga or 4ga wire and ring terminals, make your own ground strap. It could cause your issue, but if it was working and then stopped, did you take the strap off?

All my straps were replaced with 1/0 wire.
