i cant find gloss black tailgate handles or covers!
 

i looked everywhere i am buying i.p.c.w doorhandles in the black color and its alittle shiny black, cant find any styling truck or 4wheel parts or jc whitney or summit! CHECKED EBAY EVERYWHERE! i had thought bout painting chrome ones a gloss black but id rather not be bothered
i have an 2006 f150
anybody have gloss black tailgate handles or covers? ppain in the a** everyone and their mama has chrome but nobody black and if they do its that very flat stock black they come on most trucks

paint em. its not that hard. id sand them down with fine grit sandpaper so its smooth, then clear it when your done.

My 07 FX2 has all painted handles......advise to check with your local dealer.

the painting will work too..I was contemplating doing this so the black matches the badges/ovals and soon the wheels.

they have the door handles but not the tailgate, they just have chrome covers. wtf i dont get why no place have made a nice black color, like chrome looks gaudy if their is way to much of it. i did paint my back tailgate cover i just wish i could find a whole handle thats a nice black. i have alot of hopes for my truck as we all do, my new one is to get in the back of that truckin magazinee

If your gonna paint them, just scuff them up, spray a few coats of high build primer, lightly sand, then spray your black and clear. I'm looking to color match mine but I also haven't found a set of handles with the tailgate that are black.

i ended up painting them but didnt turn out great my tailgate cover was really beat up from leanin the dirtbike against it, but i will be hardcore researching, worst comes to worst ill do a really nice paint job to the tailgate handles wish they would just sell them..damn chrome fad
