No pics of the wall I already dropped the motor off at the machine shop. I would like to do cams but at this point I just want it to run and stay together I know cams wont hurt it but I'm a boilermaker and I put a lot of miles on it I just want it dependable. I have other toys I squeeze hp out of

Not trying to be critical but from the piston in the picture it doesn't look melted it looks dynamited [detonation] caused by one or more of the following. lean mix, bad gas, to much advance, bad knock sensor, manifold / gasket leak and if not corrected it will repeat

If your intake is bad or leaking I have my factory intake in a box with 35,595 miles on it. PM me if you need it. Already sold my injectors.

I'd react the same way you did if someone said that to me. Some people just talk smack and that's all they can do. Like you said, you wouldn't have the piston out if you didn't know what you were doing.
