Huge Gryphon Problem!!

so i noticed my trucks gas peddle has a really late response when i drove larry's truck and his was perfect, so i wondered what it was so i thought it was the throttle body but after i tried a few things i found out its from my gryphon

so when my truck was in 91 custom tune it has a really late throttle response and sometimes when i park it turns off on its own ow the rpm goes down to like 200 and goes back up to about 550

also when i was driving on the freeway cruising at about 80mph my rpm is always at 2000, but when i cruise at that speed i hear my intake bog extremely bad and feels like the engine chokes....

also when its in 91 custom tune when i let go of the gas it slows down extremely fast

so today i threw it back into stock

i noticed my truck starts a lot easier with the remote start, before the first time didnt start it and the second attempt did

then i noticed the gas pedal had a little better response but still had the factory lag on it

also on the freeway i cruise at 70mph at 2000rpm now and i can bariely hear my intake and it seems like its running smoothly with no choking at all!

but ofcourse with it being back into stock tune its a lot slower in picking up speed

so what do i do now?!!

and there are more issues but when i remember i will add them

I wonder if the 91 tune is based off the old calibration with the throttle delay.

i have no clue but with 91 it should of have a lot better throttle responce and since our trucks have a electronic thorttle body that doesnt help

Hmm, by your initial description i would tell you to go to vatozone and buy a new IAC valve and fuel filter. What concerns me about your post is the fact that it goes away when the tuner is not in use. Sounds to me like you have a bad scaler setting within the tune(nothing of your own doing). Is this a "custom" tune ordered from the internet, or a stock initial program?

its ordered from the company them selfs and downloaded onto the programmer from a program on my computer which is connected to their database

Do you have the physical file on your PC? If you do, look at the file extension and see if it is a .PCM file. If it is, send it to me and I will have a look at it with my tuning software. I dont have a template for a 3v 5.4L motor so I dont know if it will work for sure or not.

It sounds to me like your dashpot settings are jacked.

See if you can go on that program and back up the tune to your PC. Also, try a different tune off that program if you can and see if the end results are the same.

This might seem obvious... but did you have 91 octane in the tank?
