Sry for all the questions, but once I get the boards off, if I leave the bolts off is that a bad idea or no? Like will that leave sections of my frame and body unbolted?

I removed my boards a few year ago with no problems. If I remember correctly it is only 5 or so brackets on each side and a few up top on the body. Just take them all out. Oh and watch your head when you unbolt the last one; gravity WILL take over and it WILL fall on you. Took me about 10-15 minutes a side to get them all off. Did it when it was storming so was kind of laying in a puddle...

Do you want to sell your run boards?

Default boards

One quick question, are these stock boards? If so there are only a few bolts at each bracket and they are only speed clips. They do nothing but hold on the brackets. You can almost cut the clips with wire cutters.

If you can man, try heat... If paint and other lines Arent in the area, get your solder gun or a small hand torch and heat em up.

Heat breaks down the rust and expands the metal so it also loosens it pretty well too.

When Im working on semi brakes, a cutting torch does more for me than my own wrenches.

The running boards also bolt onto the brackets...you can remove the bolts holding the running boards to the brackets and then have more room to work on getting the brackets off.

Default Running board removal

I can get the 3 bolts on top of the brackets off, but I'm can't get the 3 off on the bottom of the brackets! The top 3 were 1/2 inch bolts but it seems like the bottom aren't! But the next size down seem to small, I am not able to get my head up to see what size they are because I'm just doing this my driveway! Any help would be wonderful!
