Default How much will a larger tire increase truck height?

So after doing some searching I can get 275/60R20 with no problems anything outside of that I heard I will run into some issues without a leveling kit on my 2007 FX4 running OEM 20". My first question is the largest tire I can go with without a level kit?

My 2nd question is how much height increase will occur with these tires. I am pretty close to the top of my garage and do not want to exceed that limit.

Any input out there would be great. I searched the forum but came up empty on this topic matter.

Find out the height in inches of your tires. Then the height of the new tires in inches.

New tires - old tire =x

X/2 gets you the height increase.

275/60-20 is about is big as you can go with no lift. I am pretty sure a 275/65-20 will rub or be real close.

A 275/60-20 will make you truck sit about 1/2" taller then the stock 275/55-20. Of course that will vary a little between tire manufacturers and tire types.

There may be other combination sizes that fit but rule of thumb, you need to stay below a 34" with no lift.
