That's why if you buy new, plan on keeping it for a min of 5-6yrs.

Otherwise if you need a new ride every few years, just lease it if you aren't putting too many miles on it.

That would be interesting to know how much the dealer marked her up. And yeah, those PSD's are stout and people love em.

I bought my 06' KR in Dec. 2009. Paid 24K for it with 44K miles on it. Fully loaded with everything but a sun roof (cuz I wanted the rack system more than a sun roof) and it's been the best vehicle I've bought yet. I think you did pretty good on your truck. So sit back and relax and enjoy one of the best, most dependable trucks on the road. Best of luck to ya.

I bought a 2006 screw xlt 4x4 for 23k. It had 38k miles on it. it has been the best truck i have owned. I got it for a steal since it was only 1 year old and blue booked for 30k. I made a good choice on this truck. I now have alittle over 137k.

In Jan of 09 I bought an 2008 SCrew with 8,000+ miles for $22,000. This was when the market on trucks had crashed, now it blue books for 26 something. I felt like it was a steal!

Stock 2005 Lariat SuperCrew with 108k for $10,000 with all taxes, tag, dealer fees and financing, gave $6,000 down and financed $4,000 to pay in 12 months.
Only thing is that the truck has a salvaged tittle, insurance had considered the truck to be totaled because of a few dents here and there due to an accident, nothing on the frame, just the body. I found pics of the truck that the insurance company had taken when I did a goggle search on the truck's VIN, not bad at all. Also checked carfax, nothing other than the one accident.
Well, dealer wanted $13,500 + taxes, tag, dealer fees and financing before I found pics, after I found pics and showed him, I talked him down to $10,000 even. I did kinda cheat a little, had 5 friends go and look at the truck as they were interested on the truck and offered less than me due to the trucks past accident and salvage tittle, then I showed up 3 days latter with $6,000 cash in hand, said I would take the truck for $10,000 with everything included, when you have $6,000 in crispy green bills, someones eyes pops open. It was a done deal. Can't even tell the truck is a salvage.
A few more crispy bills spent latter and I got what's on the bottom list added to the truck. Not bad for a my first truck. Only I don't like is that after taking it off-road two times I wish she it was a 4wd.

I paid $5777 for my 2004 XLT Scab 4x4 with the 5.4, trailer tow, 36 gallon tank. I bought it from the company my dad works for. The window sticker says $34k and they paid $28 for it. So they basically lost $22k in 6 years on it. Worked out for me though.
