How to glue headlights together!!
I took apart my headlights and i was wondering what other people have used to put them back together. I have seen ppl use butyl and others use silicon, but i want a clean looking finish. if any of yall have done this before, pls give ur opinion!

Did you bake them to get them apart? My understanding is you just bake them again to put them back together. I have never done it though so take it with a grain of salt.

I've used a product called PolySeamSeal on many surfaces including plastic with great results.
It's made by loctite and sold where caulks/adhesives are located in Home Depot or Lowes.
It's not silicone or caulk, it's a polymer based adhesive/sealant. Comes in clear also, goes on white, dries clear, which helps in application. Cleans up easy with water, doesn't stretch, mildew, and is not porus.
Made to use on just about any surface, tile, glass, brick, metal, plastic, wood, ect.
I used it to seal up my 3rd brake light a number of years ago, lasted about 5 years up until I replaced the unit with an LED setup. It never leaked, never cracked, or peeled.

If you successfully baked them apart, you can remove as much of the old rubber from the channel as possible and go to a hardware store and buy a roll of butyl rubber sealant. Take that and put it back in the channel. Put them back in the oven (270* for 7 minutes) and press them back together.

That sounds like the way to go

Butyl rope is what I have used on the few I have done. Get the thinnest they have, you still will probably have to roll it a little thinner to fit in the channel.
I heat it again once together with clamps on it to get it to seal better.
