Default How do i replace my speakers?

I dont know how to replace my factory speakers in the front doors. The rear ones are easy enough but when i took off the grill on the front doors and pulled out the factory speaker there are two seperate plugs going to the speaker, both have 2 wires. Which one do i connect my after market speaker to? I tried finding a write up but didnt have any luck. If someone could provide some instruction or direct me to a place with instructions (preferably with pictures) it would be much appreciated thanks.

Do they all go to the speaker directly? Do you have the factory tweeters, or the sub?
What year is it?

Just use the plug with the blue and orange wires going to it. The other plug looks like it just goes to the tweeter. If your new speakers have tweeters in them you don't need the factory tweeter hooked up.

I can't recall, I used plug in adapters on mine instead of cutting the plug or using wire taps.

If you can get the adapters. It will make it a lot cleaner and so much easier.

Yes it does matter, reversing the polarity will lower sound quality. You can touch a battery to the speaker connections (unplug it from the truck)
