I have a 2004 F150 STX standard cab and last night I had one of the lights go out in my dome light. When I tried pulling it off to replace the light that blew out, the dome would not come off. I tried prying it off with a flathead screwdriver from the slot in the back of the assembly, but it just wouldn't budge. I'm afraid to just use brute force because I don't want to rip the thing off and not be able to put it back on to keep my interior looking nice. Can anyone help?

 

it is in with clips like trine pieces you have to use some force just pull down, was fairly easy on my truck just did this and replaced them all to LEDs

 

This is the way... The one in the video has obviously been in and out a few times, They are really tight usually. Pull from the mirror side and roll it towards you.

 

I've seen this video before, and that's for a supercrew. Mine's a standard cab and has a completely different assembly in a completely different location.
