Default 2007 Screw Plugs.....are they immune???

Hi all. I've heard alot about the Sparkplug issue in the 5.4.....just wondering for sure if it was rectified for the 2007 year, or not? The S/crew I bought was manufactured in August of 2006.

incorrect. the spark plug blowout was on 2v heads......you dont have 2v heads, neither does he. the plug issue wasnt solved and using a single piece plug rectifies the problem.

Hey, that's good new on the tranny. I need to change out some fluids here shortly. There's a wee bit of a seep on the driveshaft coming out the back of the transfer case. Just a seal I'm assuming, hopefully an easy changeout.
On the sparkplugs, sorry I didn't clarify, but I meant about the two piece design plugs, and how I hear all about removal without breakage if you are lucky. I have 60k miles and probably should get at them, if indeed they are a two piece.

i know about the two valve heads. i was recently told that info i gave by a ford machnic. but if ands or buts it was fixed. but i still hear is a pain in the *** to change the plugs. and yes the rear seal on mine has leaked too since i pulled it off the lot. but i figuered its a ford thing cause the last f150 i had went 280,000 with the same leak.... ?? keeps the seal from drying out i guess lol!

Does anyone know what year this issue was fixed, if it was at all? I know the 2004-2005 were really bad about it, anybody have personal experience with them since then?

The single piece plug design was started into production in mid November 2007. There are some 2008 models with 2 piece plugs in the 5.4. If you have brown colored COPS, you have the one piece plug.

Alright, I think my was a march build anyways, so I'll have to be extra careful when I change them out
