most the time if u have critical thinking skills you can do 90 % of your own work. ive gone into something not having a clue wut i was doing and get it done and put it all back together. you know yourself so youd know if you can trust yourself to do it. i one day was smart (sarcasm) and broke off a bolt on my intake manifold. looked around saw itd come out took all sorts of **** out un plugged wires and vacumme hoses and put a new one in all off memory. i think if u crawl under it and examine it for a bit youll figure it out. just remember how to put it all back together lol

lol thanks guys, but im pretty capable when it come to this stuff. not that im a mechanic, by any means, but ive done some decent work in my garage for myself and others. i was just covering some bases before i got under there just to make sure i wasnt missing anything.
after pulling a fuse in my acura for the security system and having my abs module and srs system requiring a reset because of it, i decided to just consult those who do it daily for some insight beforehand.

I mentioned a manual because most folks never go to this "level" of repair; air filter change, oil changes, and bulb replacements are all simple no brainer stuff, and don't require manuals.
When you start into drive shaft removal and the like, you really should have a cheapy repair manual.
Christmas is coming soon; makes for a good stocking stuffer.

it takes 4 bolts and a hammer to get the driveshaft off. the most important thing is that you put it back in the same way that you took it out. i have done this once on my truck and i need to do it again.

bucko i understand where your comin from but most ppl just dont think about how it could come out they just look briefly and just take it in or dont even try to look at it. i do wish i had one tho for all the electrical stuff.
