They are supposed to be amber so you can tell if the vehicle is coming toward you or moving away.

Amber for front facing lights and red for rear.

I wanted to do that to my vehicles but CA just outlawed buying gallons of dip. So my only option is rattle canning ... But I'm working with fonzie to see if they can ship smaller amounts to the republik of kalifornia

I've used these for 6 years and its never been an issue... Although I'm pretty sure it could be.. But I've been pulled over a few times and its never been mentioned.. They only reflect blue when the lights are off, second pic is with them on.

Try some chrome bulbs they are chrome and light up amber
