I've read that the '05 MY had fuel injector issues. Not sure if yours was taken care of in the recall.

I helped one of my tenants with his '05 misfire and after updating the plugs and a coil (wrong coil was installed on one cylinder), I tested the fuel injectors with:

• a check to confirm the plug is properly inserted
• a noid light to see if getting power/grounding out properly
• a multimeter to check for voltage/continuity
• and finally a long screwdriver - flat blade on the injector and the handle to my ear.

You can hear if the injector is working or not. I compared to other injectors that were working and found one injector to be dead.
Easy tests to perform.

You'd also want to check if the O-rings are properly installed/lubed etc.

I didn't have them set to record but will do it on the next run. How should they look?

Assuming injector issue, wouldn't it run bad all the time instead of just under hard throttle? It actually pulls hard through all RPMs unless I have the pedal close to the floor, then it goes crazy.

Still, to me, sounds ignition-system related. These are quite sensitive to non-clean components.

What condition is the fuel pump driver module? These are notorious for failures there.

How's the vacuum tube running from the electric vapor solenoid (I forget it's technical name) that sits next to the brake booster and runs to the passenger side of the intake manifold... on cold mornings or heavy acceleration, mine would throw the occasional lean code, passenger side, and I found that hose to be dry rotted just enough that it would open up either from cold contraction or acceleration.

In his replacement parts list he has the FPDM listed.

It ran quite well most of the time. Had an engine shake at idle and the CEL would flash with a hard stomp on the gas, otherwise was quite strong.
