Default High beams not working

I have a 2008 basic F150. Driving home the other night the high beams would not work. I was able to use the flash to pass to make it home. I checked the fuse and relay and both work. I also replaced the turn signal/wiper/light switch and still no luck. Not sure what else I can check before taking it to the shop. I have never had problems before and they are standard bulbs. I think the fact the FTP feature works indicates the bulbs are good. Anyone have any ideas? The other thing I noticed, and it may not be related, but the dash lights were not working. I have checked all fuses and they are good, and now the dash lights seem to work.

Its probably the switch assembly that turns the lights off and on, with the dimmer on the lower left of the dash. Its probably gone bad.
