Default High beams not working

So just want to say thank you first of all. But I'll get on with it, I have a base model 2005 f150 with the 5.4. so the other night I had my high beams go out on me. I had no flash to pass either. So I obviously checked my bulbs, they are good. I checked my high beam fuse and that was good. Did some research and found that the mfs (multi fuctioning switch) sometimes goes back. I ended up installing a new one and still no high beams, however I do have flash to pass flp mode now. I just don't have highs in the normal fashion. I also have no blue light on the dash for my high beam indicator. I checked under the hood because there is a relay for high beams but I do not have day time running lights so there's not even pins for a relay. I'm just lost. Even if I can rig it up to pass inspection that would be fine too.

what does it do when the switch is pulled towards you and held?

This should enable both high and low filaments simultaneously .

Do you have fog lights?

So I have checked #35. I have even jumped it make sure I didn't have bad fuses. The high beams (both filaments) come on when lever is pulled back. And due to it being a base model, no I do not have fog lights

Have you check relay RO3 in the fuse panel?

Ro3 is under hood. That is what I don't have it has no plug from factory for that relay. I don't have running lights or fog lights due to it being a base model. There is no female connection for me in that specific plug

There is also an RO3 in the fuse panel. It is the hi-beam relay.

When lever is pulled toward you,, does the high beam indicator illuminate on the dash?

If so, then you know the high beam filament is good, and the dash light works.

Are they stock bulbs, aftermarket, LED's?

If possible, flip them around and try it that way if their aftermarket.

Pulling the handle towards you , somewhat bypasses the relay which is why both filaments illuminate. On low beam, or high beam, only one illuminates otherwise which is where the relay comes into play by switching one on and another off.

I know this is an old post. I had the same issue with high beams not working and not appearing on dash. I found that my lever was pulled out. After pushing it in (into steering column) it worked again. With my 2006 f150 there is a lot of play and won’t work if it’s pulled to far out away from steering column.
