I can't for the life of me figure out what the stock AUX button went to on pre 07 years, I've got an 04 Lariat and that button from what I can see is attached to nothing. You can however buy a box for about 100 bucks that will make it usable so you can plug an ipod or satellite radio into it. I plan to do that eventually so I can use my ipod, but I've got my satellite radio hooked up with the connector that goes from the radio antenna to the radio itself as like a go between and it makes it so when the radio is on channel 88.1 or something like that, my sirius comes through. The only drag is I get a bit of volume loss over a cd, but it's not that big of a deal.

I think you can lock it that way using the key pad.

My freestyle you would hit the last 2 buttons (on the far right of the keypad) at the same time. It will lock with the vehicle running. 7/8 and 9/0 buttons together.

On any trucks with key pads on the driver doors the trucks can be locked and left running I you hit the 7-8 button and 9-0 button at the same time. It will lock all 4 doors.

I always use 7-8 and 9-0 to lock my truck. It really comes in handy during the summer. I can turn the ac on full blast leave and come back 5 minutes later without worrying about anybody messing with my truck.

Thanks for showing the hidden seat compartment trick! I found 27 cents under there! And also for those who don't know after you type your code in the door if you press the 3-4 button it unlocks all the others

I too wish I had an actual aux input somewhere on my 04 lariat. I'll probably end up buying a newer head unit or something instead of the $100 box. The box is a good temporary, and tempting, fix though. Thanks for the tip.
I get tired of lugging cd's around and being subjected to whatever is on the crappy radio stations NoVa has to offer.

I believe the aux button was originally for a DVD player which can go on the over head rail system. I remember reading that somewhere. I wish I just went with a new head unit but I installed the pie adapter and mounted the 3.5mm jack in-between the parking sensor button and cigarette lighter so it looks stock (which doesn't exist on an 04). And I use a nexus 7 as my gps/music player.

Audio signals pass through the RETM to the rear speakers. These signals are interrupted and the rear speakers
are disabled when the RETM is placed in dual-play mode. In this mode, the RETM can play independently of
the ACM, through headphones, while allowing front passengers to listen to the ACM audio through the front
speakers. Additionally, while in this mode, some audio system controls can be accessed through the RETM.
This mode is entered by pressing the AUX button on the ACM or by pressing the headphone button on the
RETM. Pressing the headphone button on the RETM exits this mode.
Additionally, the AUX button is used when going into the radio diagnostic mode.
