Default HID Headlight question?

i know theres probably a thread on here about them, but i can find it. ive got a 06 xlt 4x4 and have been told that theres only one bulb for the high and low beam, but id i go to HIDs, do i have to buy the hi/low beam or buy them seperate? ive also head that when you have HIDs, they only work if your high beams are turned on. can anyone help me out?

well 04-08 have an h13 headlight code and you can either have single xenon or bi-xenon bulbs bi being your hi-lo there is no difference in my opinion in brightness just raises the light higher i feel the difference that i saw was between 35 and 55 watt balast and no you do not have to have your high beems on for them to work i have them in my headlights and my fogs 35 wat fogs 55 watt heads single xenon and get flashed by other drivers all the time!

H13 is hi/lo together' soo it depends on what the seller has "Hi/Lo" Hids which is (Low HiD) & (Hi Halogen' real cheesy white) or the Bi-Xenon which is both hi/lo HiD.
