so does that mean your problem has gone away with the tranny tune from the edge?
if so, do you have the leave the programmer hooked up to keep the problem from reoccuring?
what happens if you program it and remove the programmer?

I've also come across something else. Apparently there is a TSB for the 2005 F150s for our issue.
TSB 09-20-14: "Some 2005-2010 vehicles equipped with a 4R70/70E-W transmission may experience an un-commanded torque converter clutch (TCC) apply or TCC partial apply immediately after the 1-2 shift. This may result in the perception that the vehicle lacks power or that the transmission is up-shifting too early. Additioanl symptoms of uncommanded TCC apply when coming to a stop (before the 2-1 downshift is commanded), are engine stalling or lugging when engaging manual 2nd while at a stop and code P1742 may be present in continuous memory. However, the vehicle should operate normally in park, reverse, neutral, and manual 1st gear."

OVERDRIVE- 2004 5.4 triton
I had this exact same issue and chose to try replacing basically every component in the fuel system . Fuel injectors, filter, and pump replaced. Speed and ABS sensors replaced . No change . I decided to try turning the overdrive off . IT WORKED! But now after about 2k miles (163k) the issue is starting to happen while OD is off . Can someone explain why/what is going on ?? Nobody on the forums have seemed to figure it out yet !

are you still wondering what your problem was?
I had my vcts replaced with the cam phasers and my guides and tensioners so that's not the issue unless they got installed wrong? I'm going to watch this thread for a week and if no one can find a cure I'm taking it to ford again. If ford can't fix it I'm dumping this thing asap. I've spent 5k on this piece of s*** since last november. This is the worst vehicle I've ever purchased in my entire life. I've owned nothing but f150s in the past and I will never buy a ford again after this truck

Finally found the problem!
I was experiencing my 2004 Ford F150 bogging down after the engine warmed up. I had tried coil packs, plugs, Fuel Pump module, etc etc. Of all places I was reading through Amazon reviews and I noticed a person commenting on recalibrating throttle body. I followed the steps and BAM! Truck is running like a healthy thoroughbred! Basically you have to short the ECM and follow the calibration steps. Just undoing the negative cable is not enough to clear the ECM. I have never heard of this before in all of my mechanic years. The link is below
