Default On Her New Shoes

Hey guys,

I've had my truck for about a month now and I've done a good bit of work so far (yet a long way to go).

The current additions are Flowmaster 44 Dual Straight Pipe, Weathertech Floormats, and 35 front / 2 back tint (yes 2 not 20), and the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radial 305/55 tires.

The pics are attached, but the real reason I'm asking ya'lls opinion is for the next two things I'm planning on getting - a toolbox and a bullbar. My question is what brands and what colors (I want a black bullbar, but I feel it might look out of place).

Any other suggestions or comments welcome (and encouraged - I'm new with trucks - been a jeep guy for a long time :P).

Looks great, I would go with the black bull bar but chrome wouldnt be bad either. Do you have any issues with rubbing in the front with the new tires?

Thanks, and a little bit of rubbing on full lock but under normal driving conditions no. And even with the rubbing on full lock, it's barely rubbing, just hitting a tiny bit. But overall I'm happy with them, in a weekend or two, we'll see how well they perform off road and see if that rubbing affects anything.

Personally i think you should skip the bull bar because you loose your front tow hooks, which as you know are a must have for off roading. If you want better off road proformance then go with a leveling kit. With that being said it is your truck and you do with it as you please. If you decide to go with a bull bar and tool box i say chrome it will match your other add ons, unless you are planning on changing them out.

Nice looking truck man.May i suggest a leveling kit?A 2/2.5 inch leveling kit would do her good and help with the rubbing.

Yea, I saw that you lose the front tow hooks, however, I can personally attest that in my jeep (1/3 of the size of this truck), my bull bar saved me from messing up the grill and body a ton of times. Any solutions where I can protect the front from bashes from trees while maintaining a tow hook?

Oh, and about the leveling kit, I'm lifting her within a year (hopefully sooner), so that should fix that down the road.

A light bar would be a good solution to protecting your front end and still having your tow hooks.

For 2 lights are there shorter bars? What's the best company to get them?

Thanks for the post!
