Default Help with window regulator replacement?

Hey there everyone, i went to go replace my window regulator on my 04 xlt today on which the passenger side window got stuck in the completely rolled down position. The window is still in the tracks and thats where the problem lies. I can not get to the bolts that undo the clamps to let the window loose from the old regulator. I trued pulling up on the window to get to the bolts and it wont budge, i also tryed getting a wrench down in there and that as well did not work. So im stuck with the door pannel off and the window still stuck in the regulator. I will post pics of what i am seeing to see if you guys can give me any sort of help. Thanks.

if you can't get the window up, are you sure the regulator is broken? it may be just a switch, you can hot wire the motor with a drill battery to check

Every once and a while I run into this problem at work. If you cut just one itll normaly come up enough to get the bolts off the glass. You can hold the motor with one hand and hit the switch you should be able to fell it try and work or see the cables bind. Normaly if its bound up bad enough where you have to cut the cables ill replace the motor and regulator because of the strain it puts on the motor. And on most of the cars i do if its the motor and the windows stuck down like this i end up having to cut the regulator to get the glass out of the way to replace the motor anyway.

You should be able to move the cables enough to get at them with a small pair of cutter that's the only way without just braking the glass and gitting a new one. If not I guess you'll have to pack it up and take it to a professional to get it out.

right, so it might be the switch on that door... if the switch is out, the circuit won't complete
