My truck has lean bank 2, then On bank 1 it has misfire codes for 1,2,3, random misfire and misfire in the first 1000 rpm. Been told by ford mech and another mech to check timing...

I had the same problem on my 2003 4.2L F150. First I replaced the fuel filter (which was disgustingly clogged) as a cheap hopeful remedy. That didn't work so I did some research and decided to check the OHMS on my C.O.P's or Cover Over Plugs. The C.O.P's were reading fine but I pulled the spark plugs out and they were gaped a quarter inch due to 10 years of wear and tear. (yea, they were stock plugs!) So I put 6 new plugs in and WALAH! Like she came off the show room floor.

That's what worked for me!
GOOD LUCK!
