Default Help ID'ing a 2005 Roush?

Hello there everyone -

I have a friend who finally just got his heart transplant (crazy story, but hooray!), and is downsizing some stuff in his garage. I'm helping his daughter sell his 05 F150, and unfortunately, am running into some snags trying to figure out which Roush he has.
Couple things -
1. It has a supercharger/CAI, badging (not sure if it's the correct badging or not), chrome wheels, but no hood scoop/flares.
2. His daughter reached out to Roush, and they confirmed that it was originally a Roush build (ordered as a Roush), but didn't have other specifics.

I haven't seen the truck yet, only pics, but I confirmed that it doesn't have a plate on the driver door...it does have some roush plating under the hood. It's a 2wd, crew cab, with chrome bumpers, and a tan interior. I'll add some pics here as well...
I've been trying to figure out which package it has - Tejon, Stage 1, Stage 2, but I'm at a loss! Can anyone give me some ideas on where I can find more info, or if you recognize anything about it that can tell me what it is?

Thanks!

My limited knowledge would say that is not a "Roush truck." Street Boss, Stage 1, and Stage 2 trucks will all have a plate/decal in the door jamb and they ALL have painted bumpers and a body kit.

That looks to me like a dealer build where they put the Roush supercharger, wheels, and floormats in a Lariat truck. The other big giveaway's is that Roush only offered the supercharged Stage 2 trucks as supercabs and all had the hood and front fascia.

I suggest getting the VIN and calling Roush yourself. It could even be a truck that was brought to Roush and they modified it, but I don't believe it's one of the numbered Roush builds.

Not taking anything away from the truck itself. I'd rather have it than a Roush stage 2 since this one is a Screw and doesn't have the Roush body work.

Thanks for that reply...kind of along the lines of my thinking as well. I have a customer, who's modified (after the fact) two of his Raptors with Roush kits, and that's what I thought of first when I saw this truck. No plate on the jamb.

The weird part, is that when I tried searching for a Roush kit for the year, it doesn't show one available. I would've assumed that if the dealer installed it (according to the Roush rep, it was "ordered" that way), and that would mean that there was some type of kit for it. If it's a port installed accessory, it should've popped that way as well.

Anywho, I'm waiting to hear back from my Ford reps, to see if they have any info to add. Appreciate your thoughts!

The kits aren't available anymore, but here's a good article that spoke of buying the kits at the time and installing on your own truck...

https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/1...ge-ford-f-150/

Looks like it started life as about the nicest F150 in 2005 and then got the highest "kit" offered by Roush.

You could order a Marti report for it, though i don't know what they show if things were added by rough or dealers after the fact.

If it is a true Roush vehicle it will have the Roush VIN sticker on the passenger B-Pillar when you open the front door.

Here is also a VIN Search on Roush's website:
https://www.roushperformance.com/vin-search

If it's truly a Roush it will come up and what kind it is. Side note, I want those wheels so bad for mine LOL

I hope this helps.

Thanks everybody -

Called Roush, and the truck IS in their system, but because of the age (and apparently some system switches on their end over the last decade), they didn't have specifics on what was done to it. All they can tell me, is that they did work on it.

Marti Report is next, to see if that clears anything up!
