There is a few things it can be but the commen fix seems to be the pcv heater, i had the same issue lsst week, on my pcv valve the wiress were bare and touching
Its on driver side by fuel rail, not the injector, you cab unplug it to see if it fixes it

I've recently had the same problem with my '06 F150 5.4 3V. I went through several fuses before I tracked it back to bare wires on the PCV Valve. I've simply unplugged to heater plug for the time being and haven't had a fuse problem since. Ford is not calling the part what everyone here is calling it. And it's about $95. I have however noticed a cascade of other problems following. I don't know if it coincidence (which I don't really believe in) or if the problems are independent.
I had a code P1082 for the Fuel Temperature Sensor. The code shortly went away (within a few hours) and then the truck started "missing". Took it to the shop I use and the computer pointed out a problem with bank 2, #7 cylinder. Took the Coil and Boot off and there was water in there, Cleaned it out, put same Coit and Boot back on there and the same symptoms remained. Replaced Coil and Boot yesterday. The miss is still there but not as often and not as bad. I'm kinda scared to mess with the spark plugs so I'm taking it back to the shop in a day or so, when I get the time.
