Default Help and advice

I am getting an 8 inch lift, plus have a 3 inch bl... I have 17X8.5 rims with 5 3/4 bs and +25 off set. The tires I'm looking at getting said I can us the 8.5 inch wide rims.. I don't want to get new rims, because I like the ones I have and can't find them new in a 7 lug pattern... Anyway, with that set up does any one know if I will have rubbing issues with a 40X13.5 tire? Please respond if any clue or help..

I would.. A 13.5 tire at 40 inches really should be run on a 9" + wide rim.. I'd probably buy a 10 inch wide rim if it was me.. The tire will probably look very ballooned on an 8.5 wide rim..

Check out desert rat for cheaper tire and rim combos.. The Mickey Thompson Classic lock 2 rim and a set of 37's can be decently priced combo on their website http://www.desertrat.com/products/?id=4804

You can find 40" military tires at very cheap prices on CL.. If I was going to be mostly street driving with a lift that big, I'd prob get the military tires personally.. I'd go with a 20" rim for the military tires.. Help and advice-image-3908885680.jpg These are Michelin pilot 47's! with 20" rims on CL for $800!

I appreciate the response, and I might look into the X9 rim... I am just limited to the "look" of rim I like and with having a 7 lug truck.. Thanks for the input.
