Help! 2005 f150 5.4 3v wont start.

I was able to arc the starter however it didnt attempt to crank the starter just spun it sounded like. Any ideas? When the ignition is on it shows 4lo which is what i was in when the truck died and it has alot of play in the gear shift not locking in.

The starter is getting power but will not engage when key is turned and when i arced it the starter spun but did not crank or turn the vehicle over.

Fuel Pump Driver Module. It's above the spare tire. It can cause a no start, but not a no crank. Your ignition switch in the steering column could have gone bad.

Guys thanks for all of your help i just figured out the problem. The way thetime shifter cable is run it got burnt up by the exhaust mannifold. After noticing this i manually shifted it into park and it started right up.

Now that makes sense.. It wasn't fully seated in park... Glad you figured it out, and merry Xmas!
