Heat

The heat in my truck seems to blow a little on the cool side. Does anyone know what temperature my dash board vents are supposed to blow if set to full heat? Thank you.

they should be hot, what year is this truck?
on my old 98 i had the blend door motor burn out and that will cause the heater to not blow very hot and could even blow cold air, or else it would only blow hot air all the time.

the blend doors also break sometimes too.

Possible blend door issue^^^^^^

Does your temp gauge come up to the normal operating temp..if it does i would say its the blend door... fords always had some blend door problems of some kind

Its an 05 5.4, and the engine has no problem getting up to temperature...... So I guess I'll have to check out the blend door. Thanks for the quick responses.

also try to feel the heater hoses going into and out of the heater core, and see if they are hot, if not could be a problem with the heater core. and make sure no one has installed taps in the heater core hoses, and left them mostly closed.

If I remember, I'll stick a meat thermometer in my vent tomorrow on my way to work. I'll post back tomorrow evening......

This is a common problem (blend door) with these year trucks...
