Default Had to get rid of my f150

I was driving home from work this pass weekend, when my check engine light popped on. I drove into a parking lot and my truck died. After getting it started back up and limping it back home. I found out it had low oil pressure and several miss fires. Since I needed a new truck and I don't trust the new 15s with all their problems. I ended up getting a Silverado.

Good luck, hope it works out for ya. I think what would push me to get a 15 is the aluminum body but to each there own.

Thank you! The body style of the fords is nice, but if you get in an accident. No body shop around me does aluminum work. I'm also good friends with the local fords body shop manager. He told me, none of his guys were trained yet for the work. That just scared me a little. Best of luck with your 15.

Chevys have issues too....... Going to a different brand of truck isn't going to make anything different. It's luck of the draw if you have issues or not. In any vehicle. I deal with a fleet of 6 2014 gmcs at work every day and drive a 2013 Ford. I'm still miss my Ford after spending a few weeks driving a chev.... Good luck with the new ride.

Aluminum panels are no different than steel. I would want a totally replaced panel anyway and not one that was fixed. Chevy's are pure crap. Goodluck with this:

All the more reason for the body shops to use new OEM replacement panels over trying to repair the damaged ones. I'd see this as an advantage over a disadvantage.

Good luck though with the Chevy.

"the new 15s with all their problems" ? I mean you do realize that most people use these forums for "issues" so what you read here is probably not a good representation of the truck or its quality. Its not like people make posts that say "hey guys/gals my truck was perfect today and nothing went wrong at all" with that in mind though the Chevy's are nice trucks too...

Noone repairs body panels anymore anyway, its cheaper to get replacements and paint.... GL with the Cheby, you will be back.
