Default Gryphon Programmer

So, I got my programmer.. and I was wondering how do I set it up for my new bigger tires?

And another question... or two.

1.) Should the MPH be right on the program screen? If so they are about 4miles fast on my actual speedometer.

2.) Should the avg. fuel economy be right on the programmer screen also? Its saying about 14.5-15.5mpg avg most the time. But when I avg it vs the miles on the odometer its more like 8.8mpg...

So could someone possibly answer these questions?

Dude, you need to play with the programmer and explore it, it's easy to use. Why are you asking if certain parameters should be shown on your display? It's not our programmer, it's yours. You should know if you want it to show your speed and avg. fuel economy. There are many different parameters you can pick from. And yes your speed will be off because your tires aren't programmed in, and you can't program your tire size in unless you're running one of the levels. If you're running on level 0 (stock), you can't program in your tire size. Read the manual top to bottom, it tells you everything you need to know.

Bought mine used no manual ! Also I'm running level 1 (tranny only). I was asking if what the screen says for each parameter was correct even though my actual speedometer is off and thus throwing my trip meter off and my avg. mpg off. So I wanted to know if the programmer is gonna have all the true properties

He's not asking is they should be on the screen, but if they should be correct on the screen. They will only be accurate if the mph and tire size is dialed in. And the edge evolution has been known to show a little high mpg

Well it's a gryphon I think may just be an upgraded evo though I'm not 100% as it wasn't bought new. And yes nick that's what I was asking. And how to setup the tire sizes on it.

You can find an online manual on edges website. When you choose your canned tune you have to select custom after hitting which level and go to tire size. You need to know your tire size is millimeters.

When you flash a tune, like level 1, 2, or 3. It will ask an option to custom tune. Select yes and go through the options till you find tire size. You'll have to go online and try to find a edge manule cause you have to enter a number that equales the tire size. Try to find a manule on the internet on google or something.

If you don't like what he's asking about, stop reading, hit the back button, and go find another thread to read. Your information didn't help at all.

@brandmaner you just got new tires, right? What size and is the Gryphon helping to regain the lost power? I just got 35" M/T and I find myself downshifting to 3rd more frequently. I think I need a programmer.

To me I feel great with the new tires with the programmer they are 285/70/17 (33") nitto terra grappler a/t. And I can say yes it helps a bunch with power loss from a bigger tire size. Rear end gears would help more but meh lol
