How do you feel about amazon? Can you order from RockAuto? If there are troubles shipping there, at least use it for a part number search site.

Fellow T.O. member here...Welcome!

I have to agree with the above statement. Try Amazon, Rockauto or even Ebay. Just make sure you put quality ahead of price. Buyer's remorse is a sad fact when it comes to cheap replacement parts.

The link I sent should be good, it has a heart by it in RockAuto, meaning a favorite part.

Take some paper type fingernail files and cut them short ways and then length ways and use those to sand down the copper nipple inside the COP before installing the new boots and springs. By doing this, you should never need to replace a coil. I have ran coils up to 200,000 miles with this method. I have put over 400,000 miles on Ford trucks and cars that use COP's and have never replaced a COP, I just always rebuild them with new boots and springs and sand the contacts on the COP itself.

Yes, those are actually the same as BWD (Borg-Werner). I have used BWD boots and springs on my 07 F150, 07 Expedition and 01 Excursion.

so I was wondering I went to napa parts here in Toronto and to my surprise they actually had the spring and boot kit in stock... I decided to try to replace one but the original springs on there are extremely hard to take off and I'm worried to break or bend the COP contact on inside where the spring sits.. are their any tricks to this?? And when I remove how far down do I put new springs..? Do they bottom out.. idiot proof? Thanks again guys!!
