Techrep, thanks for the Airaid info. Good to know.

Do you notice any difference? Was it worth it, or would the Gotts Mod be the way to go?

I assume the airaid CAI removes the silencer?

It could be because the GOTTS doesn't increase the flow as much as an aftermarket CAI so it doesn't throw a code and that's why we don't get a tune.

Do aftermarket CAIs cause a check engine light and therefore require a tune?

I did the GOTTS and noticed a SLIGHTLY improved throttle response. Frankly I didn't buy the F150 to make it a performance vehicle, I have a two seater car for that. I did the GOTTS because it was cheap and I can't help myself when it comes to little DIY projects.

Yes/Yes/don't know and Yes it does remove the whole OEM air intake

Installing a CAI will not cause your truck to throw a code...unless you have an 04/05 which may make it run lean and throw a lean code.
