Gotts Mod (Why no tune afterwards?)
#11
Thanks for the inputs.
Techrep, thanks for the Airaid info. Good to know.
Do you notice any difference? Was it worth it, or would the Gotts Mod be the way to go?
I assume the airaid CAI removes the silencer?

It could be because the GOTTS doesn't increase the flow as much as an aftermarket CAI so it doesn't throw a code and that's why we don't get a tune.
Do aftermarket CAIs cause a check engine light and therefore require a tune?
I did the GOTTS and noticed a SLIGHTLY improved throttle response. Frankly I didn't buy the F150 to make it a performance vehicle, I have a two seater car for that. I did the GOTTS because it was cheap and I can't help myself when it comes to little DIY projects.
