Default Gotts/DWV intake mod

So I found the gotts mod for my truck but was trying to figure out whether or not it will need tuning? same concept just applied to the 04-08 body style with the 5.4 I'm thinking I want to do the mod and then a drop in K&N filter. Will it run lean or shouldn't the MAF sensor be able to detect the higher flow since its way before the MAF sensor anyway?
any opinions are greatly appreciated

I got this in my 04. You don't need a custom tune, just disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and the reconnect. The computer will recalibrate on its own for the extra air.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago and it took me about 30 min. The part that took the longest was grinding down the end of the abs pipe to fit into the fenderwell. I couldn't tell much of a difference in it but I figure its close to being the same as a cai. Has anybody else noticed a big difference in it?

Just got done took about 30 min to do olny cost me $10.88 + a couple of gatorades. Sounds great i got a 2006 4.2l v6 and it souds alot better now. Took a while to grind down the pvc to fit in the finderwell but it was smooth sailing from there.

I have a k and n filter and I couldn't realy tell a difference but that doesn't mean there isn't a small difference. For around 10 dollars to do it I'd say its definitly worth the money to get a few more horses.
