the problem with the cheaper detectors is the number of false alerts. the higher end models filter better.

thats because i am one...and trust me i can lock a speed in less that 1.5 seconds....all your radar will do is chirp for a second. doesnt matter how good it is...im tryin to give my fellow ford guys some food for thought...now your detector will work all day long if you have an officer that just drives around with his radar on instead of using the hold feature. but most experienced officers will use the hold feature....

What he says is true.Most cops,sheriffs do use the hold future for speeders now.Also with counties and states needing the money you better belive they will use the hold future.I do ride alongs sometimes with my friend who is a county sheriff and who works the night shift.He holds his.

I had a Cobra for a long time. It worked great when I would pay attention to it. I'd get a Valentine One because I've heard so much good stuff about them but, I'd rather get a chip first.

i wonder how many people have gotten away on a bike or in a fast car.
in europe it seems to happen more, american l.e.o.'s seem to almost take it personally, hah.

Hold on, The Cobra does this quiet beeping that gets louder as the cop gets closer. So if you just start slowing down (and rolling your windows down to hide the tint) when you first hear it, then you're good. The laser function only bleeped at me on one occasion and there was a much shorter warning. Is it true that the laser locks on to your liscense plate? I'm not trying to tick anyone off here.

I'm not saying he was wrong for pulling me over. I know I was goin 65 in a 55 even though 95% of that highway is 65 and I was goin downhill. Lol! And in defense of my tires, I took it to 3 different shops around my city yesterday, and ALL 3 said they are not past the point of needing mud flaps and flares. For my windows, yeah my driver and passenger side is 10% darker than legal, but all my back windows are double limo which is still legal. Why worry about the side windows if my back windows can be pretty much painted? Anyway, I get the speed thing, but I honestly think he was just bein a . I've talked to 4 different people that have seen that same officer take people for rides in his Charger patrol car and spin the tires up and down the highway. He has a bad reputation of bein a big D Bag. Lol! I'm not one to disrespect police officers, just sometimes think they have more serious matters to take care of other than worrying if my tires stick out too much, or my window tint is slightly darker than they should be. But like I said, I appreciate what cops do and stand for most of the time. Ha!

Listen theres a tool in every walk of life. speedin is speedin. whether up..or down hil. lol. Look I cant comment on anybody's attitude. You know judge not lest ye be judged stuff. And can honestly say i never wrote a TICKET FOR TIRES. But thats me, n not him. remember for everybody out there..Its all about attitude too when you get stopped.

rockymtrider.. i like it roll down windows.lol NO lazer is a pulse of light, It takes less thatn a second for it to travel out and bounce back to the unit. It reads and tells me how fast and how far away I got u at. Accurate to +/- 1 mph. and after teachin an usin it for 10 years. undefeatable. unless the cop wants to loose.. Man I should to on big giant post on speed and eguipment laws.to help out all my brothers
