Something I really want to try... People make it sound a lot harder than you do, that's for sure. I guess the difficult part is replacing the stock bulbs with LED's.

No doubt....I've read some posts where people have said that the green film was damn near impossible to get off with acetone. Some used razor blades, and there are a few guys who've used dremels to get the film off. I wasn't exaggerating when I said it took me about twenty minutes to remove it all, it was actually enjoyable after I found out how easy it was, LOL!

Did you get a tool to pull them off? I'm waiting on my new needles to get here so i can give them a good look and see what I'm up against. How difficult was it to get them back on in the correct positions?

tailrace, seeing as you seem to know what you are doing pretty darn good with this, you should make a nice write-up with a lot of pics showing how to take out and switch the green to blue cuz i would absolutely love to do this but dont feel confident enough from what i know to attempt it yet. just a suggestion thanks

I definitely will do that. As soon as my needles get here I'm putting this whole thing back together and I'll post plenty of pics.....then I'll do the write up complete with pics and step by step instructions.

I think the needles I'm getting from US Speedo come with the tool. From the research I've done you can make a tool to remove the neddles with a plastic fork, just snap off the middle two prongs. I know they come with directions for getting the needles off and then back on in the right position. And yeah, I took all of the green film off with acetone and cotton *****, worked great!

Yeah i was talking bout where the mileage is shown...like where it days door ajar..ha im just saying im sure you did but mine didnt rub off it had a tiny green film i peeled off after unplugging the display from cluster...main reason i messed up is because i superglued the orange needle back on the black round peice and i guess it stuck to the peice you put it on in the actual gear assembly then when i went to redo something SNAP i was like ahhh there goes 80 bucks.
