Well its that time... Looking into some new tires... preferably more aggressive! I have been looking at the toyo mud terrain. either in the 295x70x17 or the 305x70x17 Any opinions you guys recommend? Or do you think this is a wise decision? I currently have on 285x70x17 tires and im kinda worried about loss in power with this slightly larger tire? Here is a most recent pic of the beast.

Toyo Open Country M/T's are good, but if you are open to options maybe look into the Nitto Trail Grapplers. Apparently the are practically the same tire, but with different tread. However, I still think the Trail Grapplers are slightly better than the Toyo's. I have had my Trail Grapplers for about 8,000 miles, only been able to rotate them once, and the tread has barely even changed. They are great in every weather condition, and although there may be a few people that have had issues with this tire, I haven't had one. Either M/T is a good choice. BTW, your truck looks pretty sweet.

I ran the Toyo M/T on my last superduty and I LOVED THEM...with one small issue...they are kinda loud at highway speeds, but all M/T are. I will be getting a set on my f-150 when i need tires in about 50k miles (insert sad face here)

Absolutely agree x2. Ive got 15,500 on my set of Nitto Trails and have over half tread left. I drive about 90% highway and 5% offroad (5% city) so I will see less tread life compared to others. Still awesome for a M/T though. Great in mud, rain, and snow.

Thanks guys for the input! I actually looked at the nitto trails and that is my second choice.. i guess it will come down to what ever will be cheaper.

I am also going to order new 09 badges, line x the toolbox and the bed this year. I have 14 more payments so once that happens mods will be coming in left and right haha.
